You want to rent a boat but don’t have any sailing experience?

It sounds fantastic to be a captain on a yacht. With us, you can rent a boat, and it is possible to take a boating instruction on board this vessel. The aim of the boating instruction is to teach safe and responsible navigation behavior, including acquiring knowledge of the relevant written and unwritten rules on the water.

In addition to the rules, you will also gain extensive practical experience in operating the yacht you have rented. An experienced instructor will teach you how to maneuver, dock, and undock the vessel you have rented from us.

What will you learn?

The aim of the instruction is to ensure that you have control over your motorboat. A good preparation for the boating holiday is studying the navigation regulations, which you can find on our regulations page.

Topics covered in the instruction include:

• Characteristics of the handling of your vessel.
• Practical maneuvers.
• Influence of weather on your navigation.
• Docking and departing, working with mooring lines.
• Theoretical understanding of relevant regulations.
• Practice in passing through structures and navigating in harbors.

The lessons

The lessons take place on the day of departure, with each lesson lasting an average of 2 to 4 hours. Deviations from this duration can be discussed based on mutual agreement. The cost for a boating instruction is €120.

Even without a certificate, you’ll have a solid foundation for responsible and safe boating enjoyment.
