The South West route takes you through “het Sneekermeer” to the ancient cities of Friesland, so you’ll enter Sneek, Workum, IJlst, Stavoren and Bolsward. Besides the cities there are Makkum and Heeg to sail by as well.

We recommend Makkum as a small deviation. If you have the time, this village definitely worth visiting and for a stroll along the promenade.
