Located at the Van Harixma kanaal

Located at the Van Harixmakanaal, Franeker, is easily accessible. Franeker was made famous by Eise Eisinga, a woolcomber from Dronrijp. He built the oldest planetarium in the world and can be seen, still working, in his living room in Franeker.

In July and August there are city walks; every Tuesday at 14:00 and Thursday at 19.30. They begin at Museum It Coopmanshûs.
